Breckenridge Partnership Ltd, GG Armstrong & Son LLC, and Salt Creek Farm and Ranch LLC represent generations of ranching history from two families—the Clark family from Breckenridge, Texas and the Armstrong family of Roswell, New Mexico.

Breckenridge Partnership Ltd (BPL) was founded by oilman Lester Clark of Breckenridge, Texas. He got into the ranching business because of his love for the West Texas country: “I like land. I like to look at it.” His daughter Sara Clark Armstrong holds BPL now, with ranches in Shackelford and Stephens counties.

BPL features registered red and black angus cattle at its Dyer ranch south of Albany, Texas.  It runs commercial cattle on the Adams ranch south of Breckenridge.  In addition to the cattle operations, these ranches feature abundant deer, turkey, and game birds.

G.G. Armstrong & Son was founded in by father and son, G.G. Armstrong and Bill B. Armstrong, Sr.  The Armstrong family, from Roswell, developed one of the largest road construction firms in the state and acquired farm and ranch land in Texas and New Mexico.  Today, Robert G. Armstrong continues farming operations near Artesia, New Mexico, growing cotton and hay on over 500 acres, and runs a commercial cow-calf operation at its Seco Ranch at the foot of Capitan Mountain in Lincoln County, New Mexico.  The commitment to the land and Southeast New Mexico runs deep, with the ranch and farm being held by the family since the 1940s.

Salt Creek Farm & Ranch was acquired by Robert and Sara Clark Armstrong north of Roswell in 1981.  Salt Creek Farm & Ranch features a commercial cow-calf operation and grows hay and alfalfa that are available for sale.
